  Art vs. Pornography

  i have framed some odd things in my career.

  i didn't mind framing a penthouse spread.

  i did mind framing a "slave bat".

  My parents took some pictures of me when I was pretty young and it was harmless. But at about age 12 I felt really weird about those old pics and I asked them to burn them. Mom wasn't happy but she did burn them. It just seemed weird.

  I've been to a nudist camp. While guys aren't walking around aroused there is a lot of checking out of the women. If a person was turned on by children I'm sure they would be checking out the kids.

  I believe the law in CA states that it's not considered porn if a naked photo of a child is a member of the immediate family.

  For those members of Nambla a naked photo of a little boy would be softcore porn at the least. So I would say that what is art to one person is just another excuse to masturbate to someone else.

  Another reason I hate the ACLU

  ever heard of nambla?

  this is an organization that promotes man-boy love, with support groups, and magazines and books supporting the subject.. and the aclu has gone to bat for these guys.

  pro bono, backing their rights to this sick group.

  The ACLU does a lot of good. I think it's rediculous to discredit the ACLU entirely just because they support NAMBLA

  Oh please. The ACLU has totally lost it. They are fighting for the rights of men who want to screw litltle boys. Their motto is "sex by eight or it's too late." Even my hardcore friends who have praised the good that the ACLU has done in the past are done with them now.

  They are fighting for the rights of child molestors. So any support you give them supports child molestors.

  From all the venting I've seen on this site about how horrible the WTBTS is for hiding child molestors I find it hard to believe that anyone could overlook what the ACLU is doing. Come on, what next? What would it take to drop the support you have for the ACLU?

  Jessica Lynch Book Trouble

  has anyone seen the news about jessica lynch's book (which isn't even written yet).

  on the news last night the father of one of lynch's company of soldiers was on tv stating that since his son was part of her experience that she should share the profits from her book.

  his son was killed in that battle in iraq.

  i'm sorry, most of her story that anyone cares about she can't even remember

  It isn't uncommon for people to blank out after something like this happens. It also isn't uncommon for them to regain their memory after awhile so we don't really know what she can or can't remember at this point. She was pretty banged up and obviously on pain meds and then had several surgeries to repair her injuries. I would say her memory may very well have been affected but who knows for how long.

  i have a screenplay i work on occasionally (a romantic comedy) and a nonfiction book about the area in which i grew up.. i also have a wedding in a year, and we are looking for a house to buy.. so what are y'all working on?.

  Careful Yeru, don't go acting all proud to be an American, ya might cause another thread to be locked.

  Of course college isn't a pet project, it's the only project. After college I'm sure I won't have any time either for awhile because I'll be busy trying to impress an employer. I would say pet projects are on the back burner for awhile.

  She is a class act. I admire her.

  I was a freshman at college and was getting ready to leave when mom called me to the TV. I sat there for hours watching the coverage, shocked, sick. Friends came over and we had a big cry. I felt similar this morning.
